First Contact Physiotherapists (FCPs) are advanced practitioners working within Primary Care with extensive expertise in the clinical assessment, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. They focus on new acute issues, they are not rehabilitation physiotherapists that treat persistent, chronic MSK problems.
They see patients aged 16 years and over with MSK problems in the following ares:
back | shoulder | elbow | wrist | hand | hip | knee | ankle | foot
The FCP team work across all six GP Practices in Ellesmere Port; Great Sutton Medical Centre, Whitby Health Partnership, Hope Farm Medical Centre, York Road Group Practice, Old Hall Surgery and Westminster Surgery.
You may be offered an appointment at a GP Practice other than your own. This is so you are given the first available appointment.
